I was a member of the team that launched the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment, sparking a global responsible investment movement with 4000 signatories representing over USD 120 trillion and igniting a major shift towards closer alignment between investors and the sustainable future we need to build.

For over a decade I co-built a pioneering impact investment manager with USD >1bn AuM focused on bridging the gap between development finance and impact investment. By 2023 we built a portfolio of 595 companies across 80 emerging and frontier markets via private market fund investments. The portfolio supported 483,253 jobs, 35% of employees being women, and generated 5,159 GWh of clean energy avoiding 4.9 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.

Technology is providing solutions to some of the biggest obstacles in emerging markets and solving pressing social and environmental challenges. The 4th Industrial Revolution and the ability for technology start-ups to transform emerging economies and leapfrog conventional steps in development is just starting. But it needs to accelerate. Currently, emerging market venture only captures 3% of global capital allocations. I want to change that.
Today I'm building the entry point to emerging market venture capital. I want to increase the capital flows to emerging market venture by removing barriers, providing access and democratizing the asset class. I believe technology can transform emerging economies empowering individuals, communities, and economies to leapfrog traditional development hurdles and forge a path towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
